Faringdon U3A has been in existence for 10 years and currently has over 400 members. We think we offer something for all who are eligible to join us - anyone not in full time employment. We have a total of 50 interest groups, ranging from Astronomy to Art History, Bridge to Spanish and Family History to Opera. We also have monthly meetings in the Corn Exchange, Faringdon which offer the opportunity to hear fascinating talks as well as the chance to mix with other members.

Faringdon Health Walks

Organiser: Vale of the White Horse District Council

Faringdon now has a team of trained volunteer walk leaders to organise and lead weekly walks of approximately one mile or two miles.At the end of the walk we have arranged for tea/coffee to be available for purchase at The Bell Hotel. No pre-booking is required - just come along with sensible shoes. Walkers are of all abilities.

The Faringdon Community Bus

Faringdon Community Bus -, Operates the No. 61 timetable service in and around Faringdon and Coxwell every weekday morning except Bank Holidays. The service is available to the whole community and passengers with concessionary bus passes travel free after 9am The timetable, route and fares may be seen at www.faringdoncommunitybus.co.uk/routes.m, A programme of trips to local towns, places of interest and events in the area is also organised by FCB Ltd - details of this can be obtained from the Community and Tourist Information Centre, Faringdon: 01367 242191 The Faringdon Community Bus is also available for private hire The bus has 16 passenger seats but is not fully accessible to wheelchair users. Folding wheelchairs can be accommodated but all passengers must be able to ascend steps to enter the bus
