Raise Your Voice Family Choir

Sing with the ones you love in fun, family-friendly sessions. RYV is a carefully developed mix of singing and play for children aged 4-11 and their parent/s and carer/s. CAMEO is a friendly community group for retired and older persons. We meet together for regular fellowship and friendship and would love you to join us. Organised by older members of Woodstock Road Baptist Church, each meeting includes an activity (eg. board games, music, etc.); and a speaker. Plus free refreshments. We also organise occasional trips. Once a month we provide a cooked two-course lunch for £3. Including vegetarian option. Please let us know in advance if you have special dietary requirements. Playwriting Course
Organiser: Living the Drama
An eight week course in play writing for anyone between the ages of 50 and 90+. We will cover the following topics, with plenty of exercises and interaction: Developing a strong storyline, building structure of the play, creating realistic characters, building tension and conflict following a narrative arc, how to write naturalistic dialogue and formatting your script. By the end of this course you will have written your first draft short play. 15th Jan - 12th March (no meeting on 5th March).
