For those living at home with Dementia and those caring for them. The cafe will provide: a warm welcome and a chance to relax in lovely surroundings, acceptance of the challenges that caring for someone with Dementia brings, advice and support for carers, a chance to join in a dementia focused activity e.g, singing, reminiscence, bowling. Each month will see one of either: Age UK Oxfordshire, Dementia Oxfordshire or Carers Oxfordshire organisations available to chat with or obtain advice and information from.

Organiser: Read Easy

Operating in Oxford East only at present. Suitable for any adult who either can't read or lacks confidence with reading. It's a flexible, confidential, one-to-one scheme, so that you can learn quietly and comfortably at your own pace. Anyone who can read fluently themselves can apply to become a volunteer reading coach on the scheme. Abbey Meadow Lacemakers

We are a thriving group of mixed abilities with some very new to their craft and others with many years experience. We meet on the 3rd Tuesday of every month from 9.30 am until 3.30 pm. You may attend for the whole or just part of the session, as you feel like. If you are staying for the whole session either bring lunch or visit the pub next door. A modest charge of £1.00 is made for tea and coffee. Visitors may attend for three times for £4.00 each time. To join the group the annual cost is £18.00 for members of the Lace Guild, or £20.25 if not.
