ARCh Volunteer Reading Helper

Organiser: Assisted Reading for Children (ARCh)

After completing application, checking & training process ARCh volunteers visit their designated school twice a week during the school day, working 1:1 with 3 children chosen by school. Sessions involve sharing books, games and conversation. Resources and support are provided by the charity and no particular qualifications are needed, just a love of books and children's company and good communication skills. Singalong Social & Lunch Club Long Crendon

Organiser: Prevention Matters

A small choir and several musicians will lead a singalong  down memory lane. Followed by a delicious, freshly cooked two course lunch. Accompanying carers attend for free.  Lunch fee applicable and must be pre-booked The club has volunteer drivers who are willing to discuss and help with any transport needs within a 10-15 mile radius. Free introductory tasters are available

Primarily for over 60s, chair yoga allows anyone recovering from injuries, illnesses, or with mobility issues, disabilities or age-related issues, to practise yoga. I use the same style and postures as Hatha yoga, but they are more accessible for everyone.
