Relaxed Performances and Films

Organiser: The Theatre, Chipping Norton

A relaxed performance or screening is where the ambience of the auditorium and theatre 'rules' are relaxed. The lighting in the auditorium may be heightened and there may be some changes to loud sound effects or particular lighting effects. The events are for people who: • Have dementia; • Have autism or other learning disabilities; • Have conditions which require them to move or to use the bathroom more frequently; • Would benefit from a more relaxed theatre-going experience. It is OK to: • Move around in the auditorium; • Enter and leave the audience as often as you wish; • Make noise during the performance or film. Ticket prices are reduced for relaxed events, and if you require a carer, their ticket will be free. A Visual Story gives an idea of what to expect when you come to The Theatre and one is available for all our Home Grown productions. This will be made available in advance of the event and will give you information on the actors you will see on stage, and the story they will be performing. To find out about our next Relaxed event please get in touch!

Date Monthly (Mondays), 10.30am

Venue The Theatre, Chipping Norton, OX7 5NL
