Faringdon Women's Book Group

Organiser: Community

We meet roughly once a month, always in the evening but not always on the same day of the week. This leaves members free to get involved in other evening outings or events without excluding anyone who might have a permanent commitment such as a choir or another group. We are mixed in our ages (some retired, others still working,)so we sometimes approach a book in very different ways and get a good discussion going. We choose our books ourselves, based on recommendations from members. We are responsible for getting our own copies. Meetings are in members' houses, mostly in Faringdon but occasionally in the outlying villages, at no charge of course. We can arrange transport for anyone who does not feel happy to be out on foot in the evening, especially in the winter. Email for details of the next meeting. Days may vary.
