Risinghurst Lunch Club

Meets at the Six Bells Public House on alternate Mondays at 12 noon. You can enjoy a two course meal for £5.49, and the club pay a subscription of 50p per week towards outings, christmas lunches and activities. After the meal there is a raffle to which club members donate prizes, and we then enjoy and activity until around 2.15pm. The club also organises local holidays, day trips and community events.

Greenshoots

We provide horticultural therapy for adults with learning, mental and physical disabilities. Greenshoots has a five acre plot, with a 60 foot glasshouse, polytunnels and a classroom for inclement weather. Participants can work as part of a team, or have an individual plot. As well as learning gardening skills, participants benefit from a social setting with their colleagues and members of the public.

The session is aimed at Older People including people living with Dementia and their carers and each month we will explore and discuss a different aspect of the Ashmoleans amazing collection. In first session we will discuss the Founding Collection and we will be going into the Ashmolean Story Gallery to look at some of the objects on display. Light refreshments will be served and the group is free of charge. The group will be meeting in the Ashmolean Education Suite (lift access is available), the best entrance to use is located on St Giles.
