Abingdon Food Bank

The Abingdon Foodbank has been set up to meet the needs of people who are going through a period of crisis and are struggling to feed themselves and their families. This crisis may come in many forms, for example, redundancy, ill-health, family break-up or just unexpected large bills. The Foodbank is run by a team of volunteers from Christ Church and other churches in the Abingdon area. However, anyone in need in the community is welcome to receive food packages, regardless of their faith or creed.

North Oxfordshire Community Foodbank

We are a voluntary group formed by members of local Christian churches. Our aim is to provide food parcels to people within the Kidlington, Woodstock, Chipping Norton and Charlbury area. The parcels will contain essential food for individuals and families in case of emergency, covering the time it takes for other social care infrastructure to come into play.

An Emergency Foodbank is a practical, community based project aimed at providing short term relief by giving food to people in crisis in our local area. Referrals can be made by any statutory or voluntary agency who has registered with the Didcot Emergency Foodbank. They will be issued with vouchers which they can then give to any individual or family in Didcot who find themselves unable to purchase food due to crisis.
