Oxford and District Club for the Hard of Hearing

We are a mixed social group of individuals who have impaired hearing or an interest in hearing impaired people or hearing impairment issues. We would like to encourage anyone with hearing impairments or interest in hearing impaired people to join the club for social occasions. The club is essentially a social club with a varied programme. The first Wednesday in the month is a Bingo afternoon. Then there are talks, entertainment, club meals, luncheon outings, and games afternoons. At every meeting, the members donate items for a raffle.

Organiser: Good Neighbour Scheme

Volunteer Driver Service North Oxfordshire Established in 2012 as a project of Citizens Advice. Volunteer drivers use their own cars to take people to appointments where there is no reasonable alternative transport available. Passengers pay a 45p a mile charge to help cover the driver's fuel cost. Please give us as much notice as possible when booking transport to give us time to contact volunteers and make the necessary arrangements (2 days minimum).
