Single File (Chipping Norton)

Single File (Chipping Norton) is a social club, based in the town, for unattached people aged 50-70 who live in or 15 miles from Chipping Norton. The object of the club is to foster friendship and to enable members to enjoy a wide range of social activities Members are either widowed, divorced, separated or single, and many live alone Club Nights are held fortnightly in Chipping Norton on Friday evenings. A varied social programme of events is organised by members themselves. Activities include country walks, a day at the races, trips to museums, stately homes and gardens, visits to the theatre and cinema and meals out.

Headway Thames Valley are a separate organisation to Headway Oxfordshire (and as such we are unable to provide details of their services) but may be more suitable geoghraphically if you are near to Henley-on-Thames. Please call 01491 411469, Our Community Workers support individuals with ABI (including stroke and some other neurological conditions) across the county of Oxfordshire from early diagnosis and throughout the various stages of rehabilitation. They will listen to what support you are looking for and react to those needs. A warm welcome awaits you at services in St.Agathas, Brightwell-cum-Sotwell, one of six churches in the Wallingford team benefice. Other activities include an active choir, bell-ringing, coffee on Wednesday mornings and occasional concerts and recitals. The church is generally open to visitors during the day Sunday services commence at 9.30 am with Parish Communion on the first, third and fifth Sundays, All-age worship (non-eucharistic) on the second, and a shorter All-age Communion on the fourth. There is a Sunday School on the third Sunday, meeting at 9.30 am in church before moving in to the church room.
