Singing for Fun

Fortnightly Singing session at Stratton Audley. Meet our lovely singing teacher, professional singer Amanda Frater, who allows us to sing a huge repertoire of songs, ranging from show stoppers, current hits, 60’s and beautiful songs from all over the world. She also teaches us exercises to improve our breathing and other aspects of singing technique but in a fun way! Singing is good for your mind body and soul. It will lift your mood and enhance physical well being. Only £4 per session including tea and biscuits but come and have a free trial. No experience necessary and everyone is welcome to join this friendly informal group.

Single File (Chipping Norton) is a social club, based in the town, for unattached people aged 50-70 who live in or within 15 miles of Chipping Norton. The object of the club is to foster friendship and to enable members to enjoy a wide range of social activities Members are either widowed, divorced, separated or single, and many live alone. Club Nights are held fortnightly in Chipping Norton on Friday evenings. A varied social programme of events is organised by members themselves. A warm welcome awaits you at services in St.Agathas, Brightwell-cum-Sotwell, one of six churches in the Wallingford team benefice. Other activities include an active choir, bell-ringing, coffee on Wednesday mornings and occasional concerts and recitals. The church is generally open to visitors during the day Sunday services commence at 9.30 am with Parish Communion on the first, third and fifth Sundays, All-age worship (non-eucharistic) on the second, and a shorter All-age Communion on the fourth. There is a Sunday School on the third Sunday, meeting at 9.30 am in church before moving in to the church room.
