Anchor Court Community Club

Day Centre for the frail and elderly with complex health challenges including stroke and parkinsons. Comfortable friendly atmostphere, provides a hot meal, and activities each week. Occasional visits, speakers and outings are also provided. Individual needs and desires are discussed and met where possible. Members, carers and volunteers are given opportunity to feedback.

What is aphasia? A communication disability usually occurring after stroke or brain injury.If you have aphasia you might have difficulty speaking, reading, writing, using numbers or understanding information. It's different issues for different people.What is drop-in about? Drop-in is for people with aphasia and other communication disabilities.Meet others over a cup of coffee or tea. Relax and enjoy yourself. It is about being yourself you don't have to talk. The group is run by people who have communication disabilities. Carers, relatives and friends are welcome to attend.

Aston Parish Community Minibus

Organiser: Diocesan

14 seater minibus running a weekly service to Witney and a monthly service to Asda, Swindon. Charges vary. There is also a fortnightly Friday service to various garden centres (departs Bampton 10am, return circa 3pm), The minibus is also available for hire (on a self-drive basis) by local groups . Not accessible to wheelchairs at this time. Drivers must be in possession of category D1 and produce their licence on commencement of hire. Hire limited to those in the areas of Aston, Cote, Shifford and Bampton.
